Hey there! It’s me again, The TLC Recruiter—back to let you in on the latest chapter of my journey. If you’ve read my previous work, you’ll know I’ve been around the HR and recruitment block. But now, I’m taking things up a notch with freelance recruiting under my very own brand, TLC Recruitment Nest.

Now, before we go any further, let me clear a few things up:


Yes, I’m still a part-time Independent Contractor.

No, I didn’t walk away from that.

And no, I didn’t pivot into a big agency model—that’s just not where my heart is.


I’ve always believed in keeping things personal.

From Remote Roots to TLC Recruiting

Let’s rewind to 2017, when I started working remotely full-time as an Independent Contractor. Back then, I had no idea that I was about to dive headfirst into the world of end-to-end recruitment—sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding... you name it. I wasn’t sitting in a traditional office, but I was very much immersed in helping this Australian-based business grow their team.

I wasn’t drinking coffee from a “World’s Best Recruiter” mug (though, I have to admit, that mug might soon be a reality lol). What I was doing was meaningful work, day in and day out, creating systems that helped the company find and hire talent in the most efficient, human way possible. And I loved it.

Enter April 2025 : TLC Recruitment Nest
Slogan: “Recruiting with a Touch of TLC”

Nope, it’s not a bird sanctuary. (Though, I can’t say I wouldn’t mind a cozy nest for job seekers.)
It’s my freelance recruiting venture, where businesses get a more personalized, human approach to finding top talent.

Why Freelance Recruiting?

Let me be upfront: after years of working full-cycle recruitment, I realized something important about myself.

I wasn’t just good at finding the right candidates—I loved it. There’s something incredibly satisfying about connecting people to roles and cultures where they truly thrive.
