Hi, I’m Lou—the calm, coffee-fueled recruiter behind TLC Recruitment Nest. I’ve been working remotely since 2017, helping companies find the right people with a steady, human-first approach. No layers. No jargon. Just thoughtful recruiting, done with care (and caffeine).
Before recruitment, I wore quite a few hats: university lecturer, student services coordinator, retail manager, and department store supervisor. All of those roles helped shape how I recruit today, with empathy, curiosity, and a real understanding of people and what makes teams click.
started TLC Recruitment Nest to create something different — a freelance space for recruiting that’s as personal as a handwritten note and as reliable as your morning brew.
I’m still growing this space and looking forward to partnering with teams who want to hire with intention, not just urgency. I don’t have clients (yet), but I’ve got years of experience in full-cycle recruiting and HR, and a track record of treating every role like it matters.

I’ve been working remotely since 2017, supporting hiring across the US, Australia, and Singapore. I still work as an independent contractor in Talent Acquisition & HR, and now also offer freelance recruiting support under this little nest I’ve built.
